Many people panic when it comes time to sitting down and writing the articles. Are you apprehensive about this part, too?

Remember, we are not striving to win a Pulitzer Prize, but to share information with people on a topic of interest in an easy to read manner.

If you’re stuck on ideas, oftentimes it helps to start a list of “Top 5 …” or “How to …” or “Why you should …”

You can use keyword tools to give you ideas for articles. Google has the best keyword tool out there. Click here to give it a try (it’s free).

Also, search through current events in magazines, newspapers, and look for problems where you can provide solutions.

How do you know if it’s working?

The great thing about writing articles is that it gives you long-term results. The articles you write today may give you traffic for years to come.

One easy way to determine the success of your efforts is to google the titles of your articles. Just go to google.com and type in the title of your article. Your incoming links should be increasing if you’re putting in ongoing efforts into your article marketing.

Another is to watch your website’s stats. Most stats programs will show you ‘referred by’. It’s very exciting to see new sites listed in the ‘referred by’ section and find your articles posted there.

If your site doesn’t offer stats that show where your visitors are coming from, then be sure to check out the free service from http://www.statcounter.com
