So how did it go with the outline form? Do you feel like you’re ready to record and broadcast to the world? I hope so because today the fun starts.
There are many options out there for doing audio so lets talk through some of them over the next couple of days:
Conference Calls
The concept of conference calling has been around for quite some time now and the chances are pretty good that you are already doing them with your downline in Direct Sales already if you’ve expressed
interest in this course.
Conference calls are great if you’re looking for feedback from your listeners live or doing an interactive training that includes long distance downline, etc.
They’re also great from a customer perspective because you can offer an audio class on your products,
etc. More about that later.
You can pay for a conference calling service, but unless you’re making tons of money already in your business, I’d hold off. The service that I use is great and free!
Here’s a link to freeconference. com
It is simple to use for the coordinator and the participants and it’s free except for the cost of a long distance call. You can’t beat that. There are some limitations as far as the size of your group call if you use the reservationless mode, so make sure you read through their options to determine which is best for you.
Tomorrow we’ll talk about recording options for those times when a conference call isn’t necessary! No assignment for today, unless you want to give freeconference.com a try with a group of your downline. Let me know how it goes!

Ready for some more options for direct sales audio recording? Here we go:
Audio Recording
The idea of recording audios for people to listen to whenever they have a free moment is really booming right now. And for good reason… Here you have the benefit of not only providing great content about your direct sales business in audio, but you’re also offering that audio with the convenience of it being available on demand. Wow! Talk about customer service and it’s a lifesaver for you too.
Ok so what are some different ways to actually get your voice recorded for your listeners? Let’s talk about the easiest one today:
Voicemail
Yep, you heard me right, it can be as simple as voicemail. For only $4.95 a month you can get a local or 800 number that’s independent of your home phone.
Record a great audio for the outgoing message and voila, instant audio! You wouldn’t want to do this for a long direct sales training message but this would be a great option for monthly team recognition, last minute hostess tips or customer specials.
There are several online options for voicemail.
Kall 8 is my choice for voice mail in general. You can obviously set up voicemail on your home phone too and use the extensions feature to do various recordings. However, then if someone wants to find out information at midnight, your phone is going to ring! With Kall 8 you can set up an 800 number for about $2 a month and have a voice mail included with that. Great for a short intro to your business.
SKYPE.com - this is a voicemail through your computer system as well only with this one you have the option to actually answer the calls if you want. You can get up to 10 numbers that ring into your computer with free voicemail for each.

The downside of the voicemail option is that the record time is limited…so you want to keep that in mind before you jump into a program like this. Most online services can be cancelled at any time, however, so if you want a good place to start, that might be an option.
Tomorrow we’ll talk about some more techy ways to record your voice. Enjoy your day and we’ll see you tomorrow!

Still with me? It’s a lot of information, I know, so make sure you keep printing so you have it all. And again, please let me know if any of the links to the resources are “broken” so I can get them fixed! Thanks!
Ok, here’s where the techy stuff starts so take notes and let’s hit the ground running on more audio options for your direct sales business:
Mp3 recording
Here is where it really gets fun because you have so many options within this section depending on how elaborate you want to get as well as how much “equipment” you want to buy or not buy.
You also have the flexibility of doing longer audios here so mp3 recordings are great for the longer audios like training, tutorials etc.
So what happens here is you are basically talking into a microphone of some sort and recording…just like you used to do with the old cassette recorders years ago. Here are some options for recording:
1. IRiver (or other) portable mp3 recorder and player.
Perfect for recording on the road and the quality is definitely good for the price.

2. TalkShoe.com – an online recording and chat service that works great for team calls and informational meetings.
Tomorrow we’ll talk about two other options for recording.
Your assignment for today? Set up a blog and then check out gabcast.com to see if it might be a way for you to start on your audio adventure! If you do record something and set it up on a blog or website, let me know so I can have a listen!
See you tomorrow!
