Audio Course – Day 2

How did you do yesterday? Are your wheels turning now as you think about all the options for audio in your direct sales business? I hope so.
In today’s lesson we’re going to talk about just some of the basics of getting ready for direct sales audio no matter what the content.
First, determine which mode of audio will be best for the content you’ll be giving. Would it be best to do a conference call where there’s opportunity for interaction after your presentation or will this just be a straight recording that your direct sales customer or downline will hear either via audio CD or online link?
Second, you want to consider your “goal” for the audio. Is this audio just informational? Is it to acknowledge and celebrate your direct sales team? Do you need to communicate specific training information to your downline or give helpful hints to your hostess prior to her party, etc?
Next, prepare what you’re going to say in advance. Now that may sound just a little too basic but it’s a mistake many direct sales ladies make in their business in general. You don’t want to sound too scripted as you’re talking, but you do want to have a plan otherwise you’ll lose people as they are listening. So start by writing an outline and go from there, which will involve the other two basics above.
Finally, think about the length of time this audio will be. Consider, for instance, if this is just a brief, FYI audio or if it’s going to be more of a training session. Again, if it’s too long you’ll lose people so you might want to consider breaking your longer sessions into two parts to insure full listening.
So, here’s your homework for today. Download the audio outline form HERE and pick one “audio” topic that you’d like do for your downline, hostess, customers or more and fill in the form as much as possible.
In tomorrow’s lesson we’ll start to get into the fun stuff of actually recording your content! See you then and remember, I welcome questions and comments!
